How It Started And Where It's At Today

The True Story

About IJN

Humble Beginnings…

IJN was created in 2011 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  The founding members were Phreakshow, Shorty, and a man named Silent Bob, (Who was far from silent).  The club was then unorganized and existed only because of the amount of homeless Juggalos there were at the time in the downtown area.  We banded together in a series of camps for survival.  Our primary purpose was to live the Juggalo life, which we had all done already for a good portion of our lives.  We protected each other, and the other homeless people in the area at that time.  We kept everyone safe from harm and from being extorted and abused by the general public.

The First Rise

Slowly we began becoming more organized, and our specific branch of the family started to evolve into something different, but new-ish.  We refrained from doing illegal activities, and in order to be apart of IJN all club members had to do the same.  Day by day, we grew.  Our Capital Camp, (Which we nicknamed Big Top), had at one point 20 of us in a single camp with others spread across the downtown area.  You could walk into the parks downtown and yell Whoop Whoop! The whole park, (Which was almost overcrowded) would return it back and you could hear that down the street for blocks.  We would walk up and down the Riverwalk at night where the homeless would camp randomly in greater numbers, with hatchets visibly strapped to us and make sure everyone was safe.  We would hide women who were getting abused by the so-called “men” they were with in our camps, and help them get somewhere safe.  But sadly this was not to last.

The Only Fall

Drugs kept into the camps and started tearing us apart from the inside.  Sadly it got so bad that the only member who walked away was Phreakshow.  It didn’t help that other “Juggalos” were jealous and mad about the no illegal activity rule, and they introduced the drugs into the camps, and facilitated the downfall of an organization whose purpose was to actually be family and united.  As our numbers dwindled down and there was fighting within the camps, the same so-called “Juggalos” that was fueling the division of a once great organization, started physically attacking members.  They would never attack the whole group. No, they would wait for one or two of us to go off from the group and attack then.  Those same “Juggalos” had some of the gangs in the area helping them out in those attacks.

An Army of One

After all was said and done, the only member left was Phreakshow, the original founder.  Time passed and Phreakshow slowly built up IJN alone, with no homies there to help.  Then he moved to Denver, Colorado.  He had heard about a group of artists out of Pueblo Colorado that showed real talent like no one had ever seen before.  These artists were the homies from the Whoop What Family.  They drove up to meet Phreakshow, and the IJN crew at the time.  Then we got on it, and started promoting instead of just being another Juggalo page.  By this time it was 2013, and Phreakshow moved from Denver to Pueblo Colorado to be around the homies who had just opened up a studio they called Wicked Block Records.

The Second Rise

Slowly Phreakshow began to build IJN back up to it’s former glory.  He met homies along the way that said they were down, but jumped ship and left.  Going to concerts, writing his own lyrics and music, making videos.  He moved from Pueblo, to Trinidad, to Westcliffe, to Canon City Colorado where he had gone to high school at, (Florence Highschool right next door to Canon City).  When he got back to Canon he found homies from the original Canon City Family that were down to do IJN. Those are the homies Doc and Biggin, who are still in IJN to this day.  They helped found the modern day Insane Juggalo Nation.

Not The End

Today we are a legal club, organized, and still doing our thing.  We have reached mass amounts of people, and continue to be there for the Family.  Responding to messages from down and out Juggalos, suicidal Juggalos.  We have collected toys and clothes to pass out to the homeless and kids from underprivileged families, (Phreakshow is a legally ordained minister).  There is a whole lot more coming from the IJN club.  As we continue into the future spreading the message of Family love and Unity.
